Bitterness is a spirit that disturbs many believers besides being a sin, bitterness is a mixture of disappointment ,anger and fear.Remember, anger graduates to bitterness if you don’t deal with it accordingly by forgiving and letting go.

In fact ,Ephesians 4:26 states that; “in your anger do not sin.”” Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry”.As believers ,we must bear in mind that anger has a timeline ; your anger shouldn’t exceed 12 hours.

 Futhermore, bitterness makes you bitter instead of better and eventually leads to unforgiveness.What most of us are unaware of is that bitterness blocks breakthrough to your destiny.Before you allow bitterness to control you,here’s what you need to keep in mind.

.When you deliberately fail to talk to someone you have no part in God’s kingdom

.Bitterness is unforgiveness fermented

.The more you hold onto past hurts, the more you become “drunk” on your own pain

.The devil uses anger to Attack m any

.God can’t draw near a bitter person

.To overcome bitterness, you must ;forgive ,stop dwelling there and stop retelling

. Bitterness blocks your physical and spiritual life;you’ll stagnate physically and spiritually.It’s no wonder many are worsening physically and spiritually

.When you’re bitter,you can’t have a breakthrough even in prayer

.Bitterness creates space for the enemy

.Bitterness is satan’s altar in your life –an altar is a point of contact.Therefore,when you’re about to rise financially ,the enemy stands against you

.This sin entangles easily similar to sins like lies and gossip

.When you allow bitterness to take root in your life,you won’t succeed at any time because you’re limited

.Bitterness is what’s “eating” many up

.Bitterness holds you back

.It’s like an acid that destroys its container; whatever you try fails

.A bitter person holds grudges

A lot has been said about the fact that the gospel singer Fungisai Zvakavapano-Mashavave has fallen through the cracks simply because she has had a collaboration with Killer T for their blockbuster disc 'Vanondibatsirana'.

Most of the flack has emanated from so-called Christians,who fail to grasp the fact that Fungisai has to evolve and try out other musical genres in her journey of discovery.Tuku has done it in the past,dabbled in Gospel grooves in an endevour to push himself and create a wider appeal.So instead of condemning her and throwing brick-bats at her, the musical fans should embrace her and applaud her courage to set out of her comfort zone.It takes a lot of courage and conviction to do this.

Quite a lot of popular female artists have their roots in gospel music but that does not mean that is the only type of music they should sing.The sad thing is that most of the critics would want us to believe that they are without sin.If Fungisai's sin is that she is singing popular music as a way of putting food on her table ,then let the music play on.One other detail that the so called arm-chair critics are failing to acknowledge id the favour with which the song has curried in the non-gospel crowd.

My honest opinion is that Fungisai is an artist and should not allow anyone try and box her,she should do that which makes her happy both artistically and in the way she dresses [there are some out there who would want her to dress like Maimufundisi]the sad truth is that she is a singer of gospel songs but she is definitely not an ordained priest

According to Petros Muzondo, an author on H.I.V and A.I.D.S related issues,'children need God not condoms...even grown-up people are getting STIs and H.I.V.

The facts of the matter are that at this age teenagers have a vague idea about sex from their Biology classes,friends and peers.Bearing in mind the statics on H.I.V and A.I.D.S prevalence in the country , I believe the move to provide condoms is pragmatic .I think our teenagers require the right information ,lest they experiment or get the wrong or half-truths from their peers.In a society parents do not talk to their offspring about sex,the only information at their disposal is either from peers or what they can glean from their Biology texts.Not many teens have access to the Internet ,where they can research the taboo subjects.

Saying that distributing condoms will lead to promiscuity is like the proverbial Ostrich burying its head in the sand .At this stage teenagers are curios .They will want to know everything.And sex is a fascinating subject to them.Until parents face reality and realise their bundle of joy is grown and wants to know the WHYS and WHEREFORES of this world,they are headed for disappointment.The myths about sex needs to be debunked among youths .We also need to accept that they are sexually active .Is it not therefore prudent to then manage the situation by giving them the right information and manage the situation so that the sex they might be involved in is safe.

No matter how much hot air people might blow about how morally wrong it might be,the reality is teenagers are indulging in unsafe sex.Our media is awash with tales of school-girls aborting in school toilets or at home ,so we have to be proactive.No amount the of preaching or sweeping the problem under our collective carpets ,these are the facts.

Well, whether black or white ,no one deserves to die like a rat.This is one of the times we are compelled to introspect, believe me there is no dispute solved by violence.Call it whatever you will;either Americans against terrorists or holy wars in the case of Islamists/Muslims ,the issue is the escalation of the death toll.

When we look at it closely ,ever since the these wars have started in Afghanistan,Israel,Palestine,Syria, no solutions have been found.People who continue to die are innocent.This extremism is more lethal than all the nuclear reserves in the entire world.It calls for everyone to act and castigate violence.

Are we sane enough to co habitat in one world and tolerate each others views?

Gone is the culture of sharing and caring for the community that was the stay of the country during the liberation struggle.The new dispensation has led to a fierce class struggle where every Tom,Dick and Harry wants to outdo their neighbours in the status struggle.Stories abound of the individuals who build eighteen or twenty-five bedroom mansions for a typical family of four individuals,Large sums are spent on acquiring the latest state of the art automobiles which are paraded at the slightest opportunity.Complete disregard is paid to the collective suffering in the country.It is a case of each man for himself and the devil takes the hindmost.Simple logic would suggest that if these individuals pooled their resources ,they would easily revive some of the struggling companies and in the process earn a lot of money in dividends when the companies do well.

The situation has got so bad that even church leaders are getting in on the act and are blindly fleecing their flock for their own aggrandisement.

The bibble teaches us in Galations 6;2 'To share each other's troubles and problem,and in this way obey the law of Christ'
